Shanghai is an international city in China. It is also an international city in the world. It is in the east of China. There are a lot of interesting places in Shanghai. Many people go sightseeing in Shanghai. There are a lot of shopping centres in Shanghai. Many people go shopping there.

The Dragon Boat Festival

There is a Chinese festival in summer. It is the Dragon Boat Festival. It's on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. People eat sweet rice dumplings and salty rice dumplings to celebrate this festival. They also have Dragon Boat races to celebrate this festival. I like this festival.

What will I be?

I like helping people. In 13 years' time, I will be tall and strong. I will be possibly be a policeman. I would like to be a doctor. I'm poor at English. I need to study hard. I have to practise English more. I have to learn to make sick people better.

summer uniforms

It is very hot in summer. All the students in our school must wear summer uniforms in late May, July and September. The boys must wear white shirts with short sleeves, grey shorts and short white socks. The girls must wear white blouses with short sleeves, grey shirts and short white socks.

It is very cold in winter. All the students in our school must wear winter uniforms in late November, December and January. The boys must wear white shirts with long sleeves, blue blazers and blue trousers. The girls must wear white blouses with long sleeves, blue blazers and blue shirts.

Travelling in Shanghai

In the past, many people liked travelling by bus. There were only single-decker buses in Shanghai. Travelling by bus was not very comfortable. There were no air-conditioners in the buses. Nowadays more people like travelling by underground. There are some double-decker buses in Shanghai. Most buses have air-conditioners.
